Our three week summer workshop is traditionally preceded by a week of tutorials on useful tools for data science (and the workshop!) – called the pre-workshop week.
This year, we are opening these tutorials to the public, thanks to sponsorship from the Berkeley Institute for Data Science.
The following tutorials will be held at BIDS, 190 Doe Library from 4-6pm on June 26-29, 2017:
- June 26: GitHub & Python Environment Setup (led by Diya Das)
- June 27: Data Transformation & Visualization in Python: numpy, pandas, matplotlib, and seaborn (led by David DeTomaso)
- June 28: Machine Learning & scikit-learn (led by Qingkai Kong)
- June 29: Natural Language Processing & Webscraping (led by Chris Hench)
